JETT Landscape Architecture + Design is a leading landscape architectural design firm with offices in Orinda, CA and Seattle, WA. The firm came to me with a request to rebrand their identity, including a new logo, name change, and a new website design to feature their projects. This is a portfolio style site meant to showcase large images of their projects to potential clients. It needed to have full screen images that load quickly, sliders and thumbnail navigation showing multiple images, and categories to show related project types. This project was especially fun because the principals are also designers and had a specific vision of how they wanted to use space, colors, and typography.
Reading Horizons
Reading Horizons is an edTech company who empowers educators with cutting-edge, technology-enhanced foundational reading instruction. I joined Reading Horizons as the company was evolving rapidly and in the beginning phases of rebranding. My background in educational publishing along with my overall knowledge of branding and marketing design for all-platforms made me a good fit to accomplish the many multi-faceted challenges that go with an identity change that is a big departure from the previous look and messaging that the company had established. One of the biggest projects was the rebuilding of the website. I played a pivotal role in shaping the site’s evolution. I collaborated closely with the marketing team, design team, and various internal and external partners to bring this vision to life by creating page prototypes, primary css styles, and Tailwind components using Figma and WordPress.
Illustrative Mathematics
Illustrative Mathematics is an educational publishing organization founded on the belief that all students are capable of learning grade-level mathematics. I have been working with this wonderful organization as a marketing contractor since 2018. One of the projects I worked on was the migration and redesign of the company website and blog. I received approved Illustrator design prototypes, wrote custom responsive css styles for branding continuity, and created page templatesso that marketing can build and update their own pages.
